Meet Lisa

Lisa Garcia-Ruiz envisions herself as a partner in her clients’ success. She says, “My clients strive to make a positive difference in the world. My work enables them to do just that.”

Lisa has been a involved in many capacities with nonprofit organizations for 17 years. Her impetus to serve dates back to her youth.

Lisa confides, “I always have had a passion for helping people and have been drawn to causes that help the underdog. Growing up in a very small town in Michigan, the only daughter of a Latino dad and an Anglo mom, I know what it feels like to be different.”

After graduating from Michigan State University, Lisa became the youngest Executive Director of the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan, where she honed her skills in management, public relations and organizational politics. Later, she and her husband moved to California, where she served initially as Fund Development Associate and subsequently as Capital Campaign Grants Consultant for the Girl Scouts, San Diego-Imperial Council. Over the years, she has enabled the Girls Scouts and other organizations to raise more than $1 million while helping nonprofits develop and implement results-oriented social media campaigns within their comprehensive fundraising strategy.

Lisa, a dedicated wife and mother of two, is fluent in Spanish, technologically savvy, and, most of all, committed to helping her clients identify and attain their fundraising and strategic goals.
